Funny Garden Pun Sign “Gardens grow by trowel & error!” Handmade with a durable marbled ceramic tile, the sign is treated with several layers of protective coating to make it weather resistant. But like many plants (and people!) it will fare better if it’s kept out of the blazing summer sun! Wipe it clean and store it indoors in the winter. In my garden, it’s poked in the ground with stakes that I glued to the back with waterproof (permanent) glue. This helps prevent squirrels from knocking it over! I also use a plastic plate stand to keep the sign above the soil and provide stability. The sign stays put all summer! Depending on how you will display the sign, you can choose one of these options at checkout: 1) Choose “AS IS – Tile Only” for just the tile. 2) Choose “Sawtooth Hanger” if you want to hang the sign (on a post, fence, shed or barn). I’ll attach it to back of the sign for you. You can add cornice hooks (L-shaped cup hooks visible in the fence photo) for added support. 3) Choose “Plate Stand” to display it on a flat surface. The 5″ plastic plate stand (black or clear, depending on availability) will be packed separately with the sign. 4) Choose “Plate Stand/Stake(s)” to poke it among the garden plants while keeping it above the soil. These will be tucked in separately (“flat pack”) so you can attach the stake(s). If you choose to hang in on a chain-link fence, you can use a heavy-duty plate hanger (available at the hardware store). Tile measures 6″ X 6″, 0.25″ thick (15cm X 15cm), weighs 1lb (454g). THE FINE PRINT: Each tile has its own natural shading/markings, giving it a unique character.
