The nicer weather gives kids the chance to take the mess outdoors. Children who interact with nature tend to use their imaginations more frequently. My go-to for outdoor crafts for my daughter were sidewalk chalk, bubbles and paint. I have found 5 outdoor themed crafts to help beat the boredom this Summer. They may require a bit of pre-planning and a trip to the craft store as I am not sure that these would be items that you would necessarily have on hand. They will also need parental supervision and assistance.
