A beautiful handmade shadow box 3D display frame – the ideal frame to display your own precious item or for your own creations that you sell on. Leave this frame in it’s natural pine wood finish, or get creative by painting, staining or decorating the frame. There’s plenty of crafting ideas to personalise this frame in your own unique style, such as colour washing, painting, wood staining, mosaic, shells, wax, feathers and so on! You can frame models, casts, taxidermy, feathers, 3D art, bottle corks, medals, baby and family keepsakes, first shoes, hand and foot castings, dried flowers, all kinds of collectibles, memorabilia and so much more! Pretty much anything can be framed and your item/items will be on display for you to enjoy and be protected from dust and harm. Choose your size frame based on the display area you need – please see further below for details. Please note we cannot make sizes any larger than listed and we are not offering a bespoke service for one-off orders. Hopefully you can find a frame size below that will suit your requirements. Choose the inner depth needed for your item – available inner depths are 46mm (1.75″), 70mm (2.75″) and 92mm (3.5″). We are unable to offer shallower depths, nor deeper depths than mentioned. The depth is created by adding a wooden ‘box’, also made from natural pine, at the back of the frame. You can stain or paint the pine, or leave it in its natural wood finish. Choose your insert colour for the frame – insert colour being the front mount/mat surround and the backing card (that your item is placed on). How to fix your items to the backing card of the frame? There are a number of options (none of which we supply. we are supplying you with the frame and fixings only), here are some helpful suggestions for you to affix your item: glue (permanent and semi-permanent), glue ‘dots’ (these are great and are also available in permanent and semi-permanent options), double-sided sticky velcro (can be bought in tape or dot/circle form), tacks (the backing card is 1.2mm thick and behind that there is a 2mm thick MDF board – so you can tack/nail your item into place if needed). Your frame will be sent in kit form with easy to follow assembly instructions and fixings for hanging. You can choose to hang the frame in portrait or landscape layout when you assemble the frame. Frames are made with glass fronts upto and including size 12×12″. 11×15″ and up are made with acrylic/styrene fronts – please be rest assured that these look as good as glass and keep the frame safe and lightweight for wall hanging.
