Urlaub: Miami – Bier

Natürlich gabs bei uns in Miami auch Bier. Ich, genauso wie einige Projektkollegen, probiere gerne Neues aus und wenn es schon einige Craft Biere gibt, warum nicht? Nachdem ein 6-Pack im Whole Foods Market etwa so viel oder nur knapp mehr als ein einzelnes Bier an der Bar kostete, waren wir häufiger Gäste im Supermarkt und teilten dann das Bier. Dazu gabs passend dazu Metal (merke: mobilen Lautsprecher kaufen) und nette Gespräche. Matthias von Biervana hat mir Jai Alai empfohlen, was es sogar in den Hotelbars gab. Eines der ersten Biere vom Supermarkt war eben auch das Jai Alai, ein IPA von Cigar City Brewing in Tampa mit 5-7% und 70 IBU. Das haut rein! Das IPA schmeckt trotzdem noch angenehm nach Zitrus und tropischen Früchten. Die Bedeutungserklärung fand ich interessant: Jai Alai, a game native to the Basque region of Spain, is played on a court called a fronton.
