This is the post I have been most excited for! The reception decor!! First off, I need to publicly announce that my mom is the GREATEST. So many people came up to me and asked who my wedding planner was and who designed everything and I was so proud to say that it was just me and my mom. We truly did have so many of our amazing friends help out with so, so much and we are so grateful! But this lady put her all into this wedding. Countless times I would go downstairs in the morning and see my exhausted mom say “I didn’t get any sleep last night because I just sat up planning the wedding”. She kept telling me she wanted me to have the perfect wedding and boy did she give me that. It was everything I wanted and more. As most girls I totally had my wedding planned out on pinterest! (but I always kept that wedding board private ;)!) The theme I went for was a whimsical, rustic, vintage, chic, garden wedding. Which is pretty funny because most brides choose one of those styles and then go with it. Of course I made everything difficult and had to blend them all together! I wanted flowers, wood, and antlers everywhere! Everything turned out perfect, and I wouldn’t even change a thing. Scroll through the pictures and I’ll describe each set up! I’m also going to be posting about the bridal party, dancing, sparkler send off, and all of that good stuff! So stay tuned! xo ++ The sign in table The sign in table was so fun. It had everything I love flowers, antlers, candles, wood and cameras! It turned out amazing. ++ Our wedding invite September wedding in AZ…fans were a must! ++ The gift table This turned out so cute and we totally created it ourselves! The long wood table and the middle door is my mom’s best friend’s door and kitchen table! We bought the two old doors on the ends and just added light fixtures to them. My handy brothers and dad created a stand to hold the doors up and wala! I swear we should start a wedding business. ++ The buffet We had Italian food and I’m not sure how it tasted because I literally didn’t eat a thing that day. But I heard great things about it! haha ++ Sitting tables At each table we had these gorgeous wood boxes as center pieces filled with amazing flowers. Then we added a picture of Kev and I with a few candles. It was so simple but I loved it! ++ Love is sweet We had a soft served ice cream machine AND churros! Those were clearly a hit. ++ Italian Sodas We have a good friend, Valerie who is the Italian Soda queen! She was kind enough to be our Italian Soda girl, and wow this was pretty much everyone’s favorite part of the night. They tasted amazing! We have a friend who owns this cutest little wood shack that fit perfectly for the Italian Soda bar. The sodas were a great choice!! ++ The cake I wanted a simple cake and that is what we got. I loved the faint details in the lines, and the perfect touch of the leaves around the layers! It turned out perfect, and tasted even better. I also loved, loved, loved the flower swag above the cake stand. ++ Flowers The Basha family totally hooked us up and got us the best flowers for the best deal. Not only did they get us a great price on them but they also put everything together for us. The bouquets, center pieces, random vases around the yard, and even the buttoners. ++ Chalkboards Every chalk board or painting that you see my amazing friend, Ashlyn did. She is truly so talented and made everything perfect for me. I sure do love that girl! It was the perfect reception for us.
