Last thing added was vintage upholstery fringe on the right sleeve. I realized two sources of inspiration for me were: in The Sound of Music where Maria makes playclothes for the VonTrapp children out of curtains, and in Gone With the Wind where the newly impoverished Scarlet O’Hara creates a “French couture” gown out of curtains. Post-apocalyptic, indeed.
