About the Designer: Char is a leather goods and western clothing company whose designer is Charlotte Blankenship de Vasquez. Char was started as a handbag company in Mexico in the later 1960s. In 1982 Char joined with her sister, Sheery Stein, to form Char and Sher. This company made western and southwestern style clothing and leather goods.
